Shap Wells offers a variety of venues for your wedding reception, with the flexibility unique in Cumbria to cater for receptions from 10 to 350 guests. We offer an inclusive 'Wedding Breakfast Package' which will make arranging your wedding reception very simple and offers the security of knowing the cost per guest from the outset. Alternatively our 'tailor made wedding service' gives you the freedom to plan your own special day with our professional help and advice. Whichever way you decide to arrange your wedding reception at Shap Wells you are sure of receiving service to the highest professional standards, benefiting from our long experience of catering for special occasions. Use of our cake stand and knife; Floral decorations; Colour co-ordinated napkins (selected from our colour swatch); Room to display your wedding presents; Reduced overnight accommodation rates for your guests; 30 acres of beautiful, secluded grounds for photographs. VENUES: The Birkbeck Suite The Birkbeck Ballroom and Riverside Bar are large enough to seat 300 guest for a Wedding Breakfast but can be reduced in size to accommodate any numbers upwards of 60 guests. For an evening buffet and dance, up to 350 guests can be accommodated. The Bretherdale Suite - The Lodge Howe Room and Boardroom The Lodge Howe Room, with its self-contained bar, is ideally suited for Wedding Breakfasts of up to 80 guests can be accommodated for an evening buffet and dance. 110 guests can be accommodated for an evening buffet and dance. The adjoining Boardroom may also be used as a "quiet area" away from the bar and dancing in the evening. In addition to these suites, the Lonsdale Room and Boardroom are available for more intimate weddings of up to 30 and 20 guests respectively.
