Planning your wedding reception at Shap Wells Hotel.
When you have finalised the date and times for your wedding reception
with us, we require confirmation of the reservation advising us
of the time of your wedding ceremony.
It is also helpful if you can give an estimate of the number of
guest you expect to attend.

|
|
Ideally you will need to make three visits
to Shap Wells to discuss the arrangements for your wedding:-
One approximately two months before your wedding when most of the
details will be arranged;
A second visit two weeks before your wedding at which time we will
need to finalise details of the menus and drinks to be offered,
the number of guests attending and any other outstanding details;
A final visit on the day before your wedding to bring the cake,
table plan, place cards etc.
 |
Timings
You should allow approximately one and a quarter
to two hours from the time of ceremony to arrive at Shap Wells and
further hour to an hour and a half before the wedding breakfast.
These times will be dependent on the type of ceremony, the distance
you have to travel to Shap Wells, how many guests there are, how
many photographs are to be taken and other variable factors particular
to your wedding which we will be pleased to discuss. The wedding
breakfast will take between on and a quarter and two hours, depending
on the menu you choose. If you are holding an evening reception
and dance, this will need to be considered when planning the time
of your wedding breakfast. |
Deposits
and payments
We
do ask you to pay a deposit to secure your booking.
We will also ask for advance payment of the charge for both the
wedding breakfast and evening buffets two weeks prior to the date
of the wedding.
After your wedding we will issue VAT invoice for the final amount.

Special
Diets
Should any of your guests have special dietary
requirements we will endeavour to meet their needs, although in
order to help us provide the best service for them, arrangements
should be made in advance and a special menu(s) agreed. If you are
unable to make such arrangements in advance, we will do our best
to provide suitable dishes. Under these circumstances some delay
to the service of to the guest concerned may arise. We regret that
we may not be able to cater fully for guests who require kosher
and hallal menus but may, be consultation with them, be able to
meet their dietary needs. |
Seating
arrangements
Your seating plan is dependant on the number
of guests an should be discussed at an early stage in the planning
of the reception. Consideration of the tables that you want and
how they will fit into the room in which the reception is being
held will help when deciding who is to sit where and is making out
the place cards. |
Overnight
accommodation
If any of your guests wish to stay overnight
we can offer a special reduced tariff for room and English breakfast
and should they wish to extend their stay this special reduced tariff,
may be applied to additional nights. Copies of the tariff are available
to send to your guests. Bookings for accommodation should be left
to the individual guest themselves except in special circumstances. |
